back at it

After a short (but needed) break from working on the book, I am (as the subject might suggest) back at it.

Today’s writing (so far) has consisted of a paragraph on the “two bows, two handclaps, one bow” ritual often seen in Aikidō dōjō. Admittedly, that isn’t a whole lot of work, but some writing will get the book done much faster than none.

The really good news is that Phil Relnick sensei (menkyo kaiden in Shintō Musō-ryū and Tenshin Shōden Katori Shintō-ryū) thinks the book is important and encouraged me to finish it. I may ask him for help in a few rough spots.
