Apparently, I’ve missed a few things…
Those of you who know me know that I lived in Japan for 10 years starting in my late teens. Because of this, I seem to have “missed” certain chunks of American “culture” along the way. Perhaps some of you can answer these questions:
- When did people stop saying “I said” and start saying “I was like…?” Even worse is “I was all like…” [ugh]
- Why do some morons say “my bad” when the proper response is “I’m sorry?”
- Why do ass-clowns say “no problem” when they mean “you’re welcome?”
- And what the fuck is up with question speak? “I have this, like, friend? In California…?” Do you? Are you asking me? How the hell would I know?
Does anyone know the answers?
